Vicki & Brian - Engagement - Baker Beach

Monday, June 16, 2008

I met up with Vicki and Brian at Baker Beach in San Francisco on Sunday to take their engagement photos. It was a cool, clear day in the City - perfect for photos. The sun was still bright when we started, but towards the end of our day, as the sun was setting, the light was warm and glowing as were Vicki & Brian.
Vicki and Brian are so much fun and I can't wait for their wedding in October. I had so many great photos to choose from, but here are a few of my favorites...

The Golden Gate Bridge as our backdrop....

One of my favorites...

Vicki is absolutely gorgeous....and a total sweetheart !!!

A requested photo by Vicki....

A requested photo by Brian...

Just a bit of fun in the water to wrap things up....

Vicki and Brian....thank you so much for a wonderful evening. You made this more fun then work - which is always great for me. Again, I can't wait for your wedding in October !!!

Kristi & Eric - 06/07/08 Wedding - Part Two

Tuesday, June 10, 2008

As promised, here are a few more of my favorites from Kristi and Eric's "beach themed" wedding this past Saturday at the Brentwood Golf Course.

Details:
Venue:   Brentwood Golf Course - Nines Restaurant
Coordinator:  Lisa Quinn/Shirley
Florist:   Delta Sands Florist - David Birge
DJ and Videographer:   Blu 99 Productions - Steve Hanson
Cake:   TLCakes - Tena Parish

Kristi's aunt - a creative genius - made all of the great decorations and details for the wedding and reception. This particular piece was my absolute favorite. She took one of their engagement photos and had it enlarged and attached it to this old piece of driftwood. I thought it was just amazing that such a simple idea could be executed and look this gorgeous !!!

Detailed photos of the flowers.

A few more fantastic details to pull the beach theme together.

The cake was simply gorgeous. And it smelled absolutely yummy....

I just can't get enough of the daisies...

A simple yet spectacular shot of Eric holding the rings.

The ceremony in the courtyard.

Sunset photos under the gazebo.

First Dance as Husband and Wife....

A special thank you to Leslie and Chris Vice, who referred Kristi & Eric to me (Eric is Leslie's brother). I photographed Leslie and Chris' wedding last September  at the Lone Tree Golf Course.
Happy nine month anniversary !!!!

But here are just a few of my favorites....

Kristi, the super sexy and super sassy bride.......

Beautiful bridesmaids.....love the "pool blue" color of their dresses and you know how I love daisies !!!

Eric...the super handsome and super nervous groom.....

A shot, or rather beer glass, requested by the groom....

Don't forget to check back later this week for more photos from Kristi & Eric's Beach Themed Wedding.....

Rhawnie & Steve - Wedding 5/31/08

Monday, June 2, 2008

We traveled up North this weekend for the wedding of Rhawnie and Steve in her hometown of Weed, California. Now, if you have never heard of Weed, you don't know what you are missing. This small town (population 3,000) is about 1 hour North of Lake Shasta, and the town sits basically at the base of Mt. Shasta. It is a little piece of Heaven.
When we were planning our trip, we checked the weather and saw that there was a 30% chance of scattered T-storms. But being the optimists, we didn't bring umbrellas. Even when we stopped for lunch, we had a chance to buy some, but we looked at the sky and didn't think that it would rain that day........wow, were we completely WRONG !!!!
It was beautiful when we arrived at the local High School where the ceremony and reception were taking place. As lovers of baseball, Rhawnie and Steve decided to have their "baseball themed" wedding take place on the pitchers mound of the baseball field, where all of the guests would look on from the stands. The reception area was set up on the field. Long story short...as soon as Rhawnie and her Dad were about to walk down the aisle, the skies opened up and it started to sprinkle. Just after the ceremony we went to take photos on the adjacent field with Mt. Shasta as our backdrop. It took about 5 seconds for the rain to start pouring down and what was to be an outdoor reception on the lawn became a scramble to get everyone into the stands where it was dry and they could eat.
Rhawnie and Steve had a back-up plan....move everyone to the local Brewery for the remainder of the reception.  A cute, local bar that had a ton of charm and they had the place all for themselves.
Rhawnie & Steve, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding day. You reminded us what weddings are all about...fun, spontaneity, friends, family and two people who are truly meant for each-other.

Here are a few of my favorites from the day. We'll be posting some more next week, so come and visit the blog again....

A view of Mt. Shasta before the storm came in.

A gorgeous shot of Rhawnie with their son Trenton.

The girls all looked gorgeous...and the backdrop for all of the photos, GORGEOUS !!!

The guys....

What a handsome guy....

I couldn't have asked for a nicer group of guys....they would do whatever I asked them to....

One of my favorites from the day....all their idea....

Ceremony on the pitchers mound....check out the storm moving in.
