Ashtyn's 2nd Birthday
Wednesday, August 6, 2008So, it has taken me over a month to blog my own child's birthday party. Shame on me !!!! But I honestly have been so busy with wedding season, this was the first opportunity I had. So I apologize to my monkey girl for taking this long.
As you will see, we had a Sesame Street themed birthday this year. All Ashtyn ever thinks about is Elmo (well, actually this month she has moved on to Curious George), but for the last 6 months, it's been Elmo this, Big Bird that, Abby Cadaby this.....so, Sesame Street was the logical choice for her 2nd birthday party.

Isn't this just the cutest cake? Of course I wasn't thinking that when I was baking and decorating it the day before....but I refuse to buy store bought cakes....

Her other gift from Mommy and Daddy....her very first Jeep. Ben took it for a test drive first....
They are both still a little young, so Daddy had to make sure they didn't run over anything (like the dogs) or into anything (like a tree or fence).
Last year for her first birthday she wanted nothing to do with the cake. This year is a totally different story...
Happy Birthday monkey girl. We love you SO MUCH !!!Another shout out to my girl Rizza...HAPPY BIRTHDAY my friend. I'm so happy you came into my life this year. I hope you have a wonderful day and a rockin' birthday year !!!!
One last thing....Go Jets (did I really just say that) !!! If you know me, you'll understand !!! (But I still and always will "heart" GB !!!)
